My name is Toyya and I’m a native of the sunshine state Florida and currently reside in Georgia. I have worked in the medical field for 20 years. I started out working as a clinical restorative CNA. After 3 years of working as a CNA, I chose to go back to school and take Medical Coding and Billing. I chose the financial and claims side to gain a more detailed understanding about how insurance claims and patient coverage worked. I have had the opportunity to work for a medical billing company who provided services for numerous provider specialties to name a few; ENT, Nephrology, Pain Management, Pulmonary and Hospital. For 5 years I worked for a single provider office doing front and back-office operations, as well as billing and claims transmissions. I was fortunate enough to also work for a Mental Health Practice doing billing, AR, payment posting, claims transmissions, and court audits for court appointed clients for substance abuse services. Outside of Medical Billing, I am a licensed Esthetician. I have a heart for helping others and look forward to utilizing my skills and knowledge while continuing learning within the field.
